Sennen Cove

Sennen Cove is a long golden sandy beach at the end of Cornwall just around the corner from Lands End. Known for it’s dramatic scenery and strong surf, the beach is lively and definitly worth the drive along the narrow Cornish lanes. Wide open views of the Atlantic and plenty of facilities make Sennen an excellent spot for a beach day. Due to it’s isolated location and wide sands, Sennen rarely feels crowded, even in the summer months.

Sennen is a fantastic beach for dogs, with wide open sands giving plenty of space to spread out and explore. There are seasonal restrictions in place from 15th May to the 30th September between the hours of 10am – 6pm.

There are three seperate car parks, all competitivly priced, with the main nearby car park often filling up by mid morning in the busy season. There are public toilets both by the beach and in the village. Food options include an excellent beach cafe and a pub and fish and chip shop a short walk away. There is also a surf shop which hire surf and paddleboard equipment along with offering surfing lessons, as Sennen is one of the counties best surfing spots. Lifeguards run 1st April – 1st November between 10am – 6pm.

Sennen is only a short 40 minute walk along the coast path from Lands End, making it an ideal spot for a coastal walk. The landscape is dramatic and isolated with little signs of habitation until you reach Lands End.
