Accessibility Statement

We strive to ensure that as many visitors as possible can enjoy our Cottages, Bistro and surrounding areas. We provide disabled parking, wide entrance gates and French doors that can take a wheelchair and have a flat access point so a ramp is not needed.  The pathways, patios and gardens around the cottages and the bistro are flat and wide.  We welcome all guests from every aspect of life and proudly display our LGBTQ credentials on our Google business pages.

Our cottages offer a high standard of holiday accommodation and Oak cottage has a wet room downstairs.  However, it should be noted that all cottages have two floors with the bedrooms upstairs.

The stairs have a handrail on the outside and a wall on the inside and they are reasonably steep and they may not be suitable for those with mobility issues or vision impairment.

The car park area and garden are well lit at night by PIR sensor lights.  There is also an outside light that floods the garden with light, which can be switched on from the inside of the cottage.

There is a 3D tour on the website, see link below.  This might help you to familiarise yourself with the layout of the inside of each cottage; All the cottages have the same layout.

Guests are encouraged to inform us of any specific needs so that cottages can be adapted as required if reasonable and practical. It may be useful to inform staff of medical conditions or requirements if you feel it is relevant.

We welcome assistance dogs at no charge.  Please let us know at the time you book if you are bringing one with you. There is an outdoor electric socket/charging point in each garden for charging wheelchairs and sockets inside if the weather is inclement.

The Games room, Bistro and the Garden shop all offer flat disabled access.  There is a hardcore stone path to all of them from the car park which is gravelled. There is also a hardcore stone path in the woods.  If you would like to visit the woods or the wild flower meadows, but you have mobility issues, we do have a 4×4 and driver who would be happy to take you on a guided tour at no charge.  The Woods and The Wild flower Meadows are peaceful with lots of birds down there and a huge variety of insects including dragonflies and butterflies. There are picnic tables down there too if a quiet time is sought to be at one with Nature and the Sunflower field and wildlife Hide is perfect for those who are neuro divergent too.

The nearest request bus stop is located directly outside the cottages and the nearest train station is St Erth. There are accessible taxis at the station.

Should you require the use of either a wheelchair, shower chair or mobility scooter during your stay, Mobility Cornwall is available to contact on 01872 859598.

We look forward to welcoming you. If you have any queries or require any assistance please phone Helen on 07786 268828.
