Dog Friendly Holiday Cottages in Cornwall
DOGS AT OUR COTTAGES
Nestled in 36 acres of wildflower meadows and woods, The Woodland Collection cottages offer superb facilities for guests and their four-legged friends!
We are situated between the pretty coastal town of Marazion (with its dog friendly pubs, cafes and boutiques overlooking the beach, which is just 10 mins away) and Hayle, with 3 miles of golden sandy beaches and dunes, which is just 10 minutes drive in the other direction. We are in the narrowest part of the UK, so each coastline is close by!
We pride ourselves on providing really dog friendly rather than dog tolerant cottages, and we strive to go that extra mile to make dogs and their owners welcome so they can relax the moment they arrive.
Plenty of off-road free parking and disabled access to the cottages
Smart TVs in the lounge area and in all 3 ensuite bedrooms.
Enclosed family and dog exercise field with footie posts and plenty of space to enjoy
Free ultrafast fibre broadband with WIFI throughout the properties

Licenced Bistro on Site
The bistro and cottages are set in 36 acres of wild flower meadows

FREEDOM TO RUN OFF-LEAD
We strive to go that extra mile to make dogs and their owners welcome so they can relax the moment they arrive. Usually, the first thing that dogs need to do when they get here after a long drive is stretch their legs; we have plenty of land on the doorstep to do that.
If owners have doggie recall anxiety, don’t worry – We have TWO secure paddocks for our guests where you can exercise your dogs off lead. The ‘Doggie Play Paddock’, is a cut grass paddock with permanent fixture play/agility equipment. It is secure with narrow gauge 2 meter high deer fencing that can be booked for exclusive use online. Even the bottom of the gates has been boarded and the whole thing netted to prevent any escapees!
There is a second paddock below which is fenced and netted so you cannot see through to the other paddock, which is perfect for ball throwing and some family fun playing footie. This field is only used by our cottage guests but cannot be booked exclusively.
Dogs can also be exercised around the wildflower meadows, and we have cut paths through them to make it easier to explore the 36 acres.
Some dogs love water, and we have ponds and a stream in the woods to explore for them, and fairy houses to find for younger guests. No farm animals are on the land, so owners do not need to worry about them chasing anything other than the odd butterfly here.
Dogs must be kept on a lead in the car park area for their own safety.
Each cottage has a landscaped enclosed garden with 5 feet solid fences on three sides and close knit rails on the car park side so guests can still see the views, but dogs are entirely contained.
Each garden has a warm outdoor shower so dogs can be washed off after their adventures in comfort. We provide a doggie box with treats, balls, spare poo bags, extra bowls, doggie shampoo, and towels so guests can really pamper their pets while they are here.
If they normally rest in a crate, we have various sized crates that guests can borrow so they don’t have to bring their own at no extra charge. We have doggie rugs, too, for extra comfort if needed. Dogs are allowed on our sofas as they are leather and easy to clean. The floors downstairs are wood vinyl and easy to clean too.
Dogs are allowed upstairs if the owners are happy to bring their own bedding. Please speak to Helen to arrange this – We also offer a dog sitting service by prior arrangement too.
DOGS ARE NOT TO BE LEFT UNATTENDED IN THE COTTAGES.
The Bistro next door is also dog friendly and has plenty of outdoor seating so guests can enjoy the views. Doggies also get treats when they pop over!
DOG FRIENDLY HOLIDAYS IN CORNWALL
Cornwall Council has recently loosened restrictions for dogs on beaches.
Near us, Porthkidney Beach, Long Rock Beach and The Towans Beach at Hayle are dog friendly all year round and not subject to any restrictions.
Most pubs and cafes are dog friendly in our area too, but it’s worth checking if you are planning to book. The nearest good food pubs are The Falmouth Packet (Gastro pub – book in advance) at Rosudgeon, just 2.5 miles from here, The Godolphin Inn at Marazion (4 miles), The Victoria Inn at Perranuthnoe (4 miles). Nearest Micro Brewery and Real Ale pub is The Star Inn at Crowlas (6 miles).
For raw dog food, natural dog treats and dog sitting, contact Doggie Day Care in St Erth, who are just 10 minutes’ drive away.
If you would like a painted slate or large painted pebble of your dog on holiday here in Cornwall to take home as a special souvenir, please contact Bobs Rocks
All the proceeds are donated to our local charities Dogs Lost Cornwall, Last Chance Hotel Cornwall, and the pet food bank in Hayle.
