Nestled in 36 acres of wildflower meadows and woods, The Woodland Collection cottages offer superb dog friendly facilities for guests and their four-legged friends!
We are situated between the pretty coastal town of Marazion (with its dog friendly pubs, cafes and boutiques overlooking the beach, which is just 10 mins away) and Hayle, with 3 miles of golden sandy beaches and dunes, which is just 10 minutes drive in the other direction. We are in the narrowest part of the UK, so each coastline is close by!
We pride ourselves on providing really dog friendly rather than dog tolerant cottages, and we strive to go that extra mile to make dogs and their owners welcome so they can relax the moment they arrive.
Each cottage comes with a Dog Welcome Pack which includes bowls, spare poo bags, dog treats, dog towel, dog rugs and spare crates. This is all provided for free as part of your stay at The Woodland Collection.

RUN FOR FUN!
Our facility is designed to be as inclusive as possible so that it’s a haven for dogs and their owners, providing a stress-free environment from the moment they arrive.
After a long drive, dogs often need to stretch their legs, and we offer ample land right on the doorstep for that purpose.
We’ve got a fenced paddock exclusively for our cottage guests which is completely free of charge and can be used at any time without booking. It’s a hub for family fun where activities like Zoomies and Ball throwing, Footie and Rounders matches take centre stage. It’s not just an enclosed paddock; it’s a canvas for memories waiting to be painted with your children and furry friends.
Venture beyond the paddocks, and you enter a wonderland. Over 30 acres of wildflower meadows, with cut paths that wind through varied terrains – it’s an explorer’s dream. And here’s the kicker – no farm animals in sight, so your family can enjoy being at one with Nature.
Don’t forget to ask Helen to take you on a guided Nature tour to explore the woods and watch out for the fairies and pixies hiding down there too! Ponds and a stream in the woods are ready for splashing and discovery. Look out for the wild trout and minnows in the ponds, and the stunning dragonflies and demoiselles.
To prioritise safety, we ask that dogs be kept on a lead in the car park areas and around the cafe. This precaution ensures a pleasant environment for all our guests. Overall, our goal is to offer a diverse and enjoyable experience, catering to the unique preferences of each dog and their owner.
We DO take EXEMPTED dogs as long as they are registered as exempt, they wear a muzzle on site at ALL times when outdoors, the owners have their own liability insurance and the dogs are under THEIR close supervision. They may be left off the lead in the two dog parks on site but must remain on the lead in the car park and bistro area, as with all dogs staying here.
DOGS ARE NOT TO BE LEFT UNATTENDED IN THE COTTAGES UNLESS CRATED. Please speak to Helen about this as crates can be booked and borrowed free of charge.
The Bark Park
The Bark Park has transformed canine playtime into an exclusive, tail-wagging haven! For those with concerns about reactive pups, we’ve created an experience that goes beyond the ordinary. You can now reserve your own slice of doggy heaven online for 30 or 60 minutes for a small fee. This well maintained space boasts play and agility equipment, with over an acre of grass for Zoomies too, turning every visit into a fun time.
Our netted narrow gauge deer fencing stands at 2 meters on the two open sides and 1.5 meters on the other sides which have hedges behind them, and boarded gates to create an enclosed play environment.

Dogs are allowed on our sofas as they are leather and easy to clean. The floors downstairs are wood affect vinyl and easy to clean too.
Dogs are allowed upstairs if the owners are happy to bring their own bedding. Please speak to Helen to arrange this – We also offer a dog sitting service by prior arrangement too.
Dog Friendly Gardens
Each cottage has a landscaped enclosed garden with 1.5m high solid fences on three sides and close knit rails on the car park side so guests can still see the views, but dogs are contained, including little ones.
Each garden has a warm outdoor shower so dogs can be washed off after their adventures in comfort. We provide a doggie box with treats, spare poo bags, extra bowls, and towels so guests can really pamper their pets while they are here.
If they normally rest in a crate, we have various sizes that guests can borrow free of charge (please book) so they don’t have to bring their own. We have doggie rugs, too, for extra comfort if needed.
Dog Friendly Grounds
Walk out the garden straight into our wildflower meadows. Paths are cut through the fields so that you can walk through with your dogs all year round. Please be aware that the hedges around the field are natural barriers but are not secured.
There are stone pathways that wind through the woods, accessible in winter and summer. There is a steam and ponds that dogs can explore if they like water.
The Bistro next door is also dog friendly and has plenty of outdoor seating so guests can enjoy the views.
Dog Friendly Cornwall
Cornwall Council has recently loosened restrictions for dogs on beaches.
Near us, Porthkidney Beach, Long Rock Beach and The Towans Beach at Hayle are dog friendly all year round and not subject to any restrictions.
Most pubs and cafes are dog friendly in our area too, but it’s worth checking if you are planning to book. The nearest good food pubs are The Falmouth Packet at Rosudgeon, just 2.5 miles from here, The Godolphin Inn at Marazion (4 miles) and The Victoria Inn at Perranuthnoe (4 miles).
Private Dog Exercise Paddock
New for 2026, we have built a new dog exercise paddock right next to the cottages, making it easy to nip out and let the dog have a run around at anytime.
The paddock is surrounded and enclosed 2 meters high narrow hole fencing (20mm) which is close to the ground and has high gates. We have done our upmost to keep the paddock secure and safe for dogs to enjoy letting loose.

Yes we have a range of walks directly from your doorstep. You can walk down through our wildflower meadows to the small woodland at the bottom of the farm. There are also lovely walks across fields and through the woods in the same direction. It is also possible to walk to the nearby Godolphin House which is about 45 minute walk away.
Yes, we have made every feature as dog friendly as possible. Hard wipeable floors downstairs, warm outdoor showers for cleaning off outside, and enclosed gardens to give your dog room to run off steam outdoors whenever they like. In your free welcome pack you are also provided a dog towel for wiping down muddy paws.
