St Michaels Mount

St Michaels Mount is now owned by the National Trust, but the St Levan family still live in the Castle today. It is one of the two, most visited National Trust properties in the UK and is a fantastic day out and only 4 miles away! We recommend visitors get there at 10am before it gets too busy. If the tide is in, you can go across on one of the mini passenger ferries run by the ‘Hobblers’ who have some great stories to tell. If the tide is out, you can walk across the causeway. Don’t forget to either take a picnic to have on the beach or in their lovely gardens if they are open on the day. Check tide times before you go, so you can plan your day in advance.

Since Covid, You need to book in advance and it is no longer dog friendly on the Mount.  The beach is dog friendly apart from July and August
