Portreath Beach

Portreath is a small sandy beach backed by cliffs and a small harbour, located on the north coast between Hayle and Redruth. The beach has a traditional seaside feel, with rock pools, open sand, and coastal paths leading away in both directions.

Dogs are allowed on Portreath Beach outside of the main summer season, with restrictions in place from 1st July – 31st August (10am – 6pm). When dog access is permitted, the beach offers plenty of space for walking and exploring, especially at low tide.

Facilities include parking close to the beach, public toilets, and seasonal cafes in the village. The Atlantic Cafe & Bar next to the car park and beach is a great dog friendly option for food or drink.
