Just over the road from the Woodland Collection, a 5 minute drive or a 40 minute walk away, is Godolphin house and gardens, a National Trust property with plenty to do. The house is only open for the public for the first week of each month, but that doesn’t limit access to the grounds and outbuildings. Then the nearby Godolphin hill gives you a stunning view of the surrounding countryside with both the north and south coast visible if the Cornish ‘mizzle’ hasn’t descended. There are also the remnants of the estates mining history dotted around along with beautiful woodland walks.
Dogs are allowed everywhere on the estate other than the house. Due to grazing wildlife, there are some areas where dogs have to stay on leads, but there are plenty of places where they can let loose and explore.
